Fables bridal couture review

We have signed our bridal package with Fables Bridal Couture
I have been looking out for bridal shops for a month or two and more or less we have already decided of which bridal shop to go to.

Bb's friend took their package last year and he was raving about their services and he drove us in.
Our sales coordinator ,Alice is very friendly and sales orientated towards us
After looking through their albums and packages, we actually could pay the deposit right away but bb's friend encouraged us to go over to opposite bridal shop to have a look and we went.

The two bridal shop have different concept, the other one was very classy, clean cut style and their indoor set ups are quite impressive, they have 13 different types of set up btw.

But we are more into with fables's concept(vintage, fun) which is what we are looking for and moreover we loved alice's service more than Venus.

credit to fables

The package that we took are quite standard i think but we forgo quite abit of perks like groom's coat ,bridal car decorations, photo print-outs for invitation card, photo banner and table tops in exchange with more poses

Photoshoot gowns :3-4
AD gowns : 3 inclusive of kua

which i think was quite reasonable for me

Both fitting and photoshoot is on coming May
hopefully i can find my desired gowns and most importantly i have to go on serious diet which never really happen since months ago

le sigh

Cantonese egg custard tarts

I got bored at home again during the weekend so i started thinking what to bake and i suddenly remembered my hubby loves egg tarts!

Random attempt again!
i found recipe online and yields about 14-16 so i divided by 2 cause i just wanted to try out
pardon my doctor handwriting hahaa!

of all the ingredients ,was short of evaporated milk so i googled once again for its substitute and found out that i can just boil fresh milk till its evaporated to halve. woo new knowledge to learn!

super happy watching them baking

I think my egg tart was a sucess just that the crust was too thick so i learnt that i have to thin the dough alittle next time:)

A day with the kids and sky

Went to shao mu with the family and the conversation is everytime about candy crush and wedding:)
And mil cooking's not to be missed!
Loved her deep fried wantons

Tingting always asking around to beg people to play with her, most of us will make fun of her and pretend to be asleep.
I kept her entertained that day
she insisted on playing with her hello kitty docter kit

Me:Whats your problem
TT : I got headache and my leg pain
Me: Ok i will give you an injection and you can go home now
TT: Ok thank you doc

Kids are so easy to bluff hahahah and im laughing away

Sky has been as nua as always but he is too cute to resist
not sure if he still remembers staying with us and went to work with me for a week
He is still listed the cleanest dog because they bathe him twice a week, wipes him every pee or poo, brushes his teeth frequently and no strolling outdoor.

There are so much things that i would like to accomplish with but i haven't done with any.
I'm feeling discouraged to know that i'm 26 this year but i have yet to feel any sense of achievements.

Don't get me wrong, i love my job because i get to do what i like, just that i feel discouraged when the job scope got lost and i dunno what i am doing and also there were times when sales are bad, i felt so uneasy facing my bosses.
Especially when they asked, 'hows sales'

That is when i started to push myself in improving in other fields, like concentrating more on designing or building the branding of P.
But that doesn't make me feel any better:(

The job supposed to be a sales job, drawing a commission but by giving such low sales,i have no cheeks to ask for any because it shouldn't be the way.
I tried my very best but it doesnt seemed to work.

Too competitive or?
I'm not sure

There are so much things i would like to do like taking over in the sourcing of goods
but there are too much restrictions

Please make it work out for me

Curry's birthday

they serve cup noodles in the shop which i think is quite refreshing to see but i think you would waste $ eating them instead of squeezing sizzling meat into your mouth

birthday girl with her gifts & cake from bt

she bought us puddings from Paris Baguette

I loved the golden mushrooms, as not all Korean grills offer golden mushrooms for BBQing
i find Sseikek is quite value for money :)

Hokkaido chiffon cupcake

I'm sorry that i kept spamming baking blog post but because i got hooked into baking recently and i bake whenever i feel like during the weekend:)

I haven't try any Hokkaido cupcake before but to my imagination, i think everything taste great with custard so i attempted to bake these cute little chiffon cakes

sourced for recipe and this recipe was awesome

 Chiffon cake
3 egg yolks
20g sugar 35g corn oil 60g milk 70g cake flour 3 egg whites
25g sugar

60g dairy whipping cream 10g sugar 1tsp instant custard powder
Icing sugar, for dusting

1. Pre-heat oven to 170C.

2. Arrange paper liners on baking tray.
3. Hand whisk egg yolk and sugar till pale in colour.
 4. Add in corn oil and milk, mix well.
5. Sift in cake flour, stir to combine.
  6. Beat egg white until foamy, gradually add sugar, and continue beat till soft peak form.
7. Take 1/3 of egg white and use a hand whisk to mix into egg yolk batter.
8. Fold in the balance egg white with a spatula till well combine.
9. Scoop batter into pre-arranged paper liners to about ¾ full.
10. Bake for 20-25 mins at middle rack.
11. Beat whipping cream with sugar till firm and stiff (over a bowl of iced water).
  12. Add in custard powder, mix well.
13. Pipe custard cream into cupcake and dust with icing sugar.
Refrigerated before consume.
Here we go

This custard powder works like magic, immediately turned whipped cream to custard with just one tablespoon

raised and cracked

sunken after few minutes of cooling but no worries cause it will still look pretty after piping in the custard

piped custard in and sprinkled with icing sugar

sent them to fridge for awhile

S'mores Brownie

I always wanted to try S'mores
but i think its quite a hassle to get those graham biscuits
seemed like you can only get them at Tanglin mall or Holland V

I attempted to bake S'mores Brownie

If anyone is wondering what S'mores is
here you go:

A s'more (sometimes spelled smore) is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada consisting of a roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker

looks like this

 googled s'mores brownie
from Recipe Girl

8 Tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
3 to 4 cups mini marshmallows
I modified the recipe without adding the crackers because i don't have it haha!
and i used Ferrero rocher as the toppings! yums

saw these photos from Recipe Girl and so tempted!

of course mine doesn't look good but i quite like my version cause its not too sweet heh!

i need to get a proper tray for brownies hee

My happy pills

 Random musing

Recently had some unhappy events going on that makes me realised that i felt happier at home by just watching my happy pills around me.

People really have to start to learn some manners like 'please' and 'thank you' when you are asking somebody for a favor, please!

Its not a 'MUST' for people like us to do stuffs for you
and remember, its a favor
